"PRESS-FIT" and primary stability :

Atlas^® has a slot and closes on impaction, making its penetration in the acetabulum easier. Then during the expansion associated with the insert introduction, it exerts a strong coaptation force.
Only an elastic cup allows a real "press fit".

Insert stability :

The Atlas^® elastic cup exerts a strong tightening on the massive and thick core, without any weak spots such as blocks and catch rings.
The cylindrical section around the core and its support collar prevent tipping risks.

Insert thickness :

The great thickness of the core (over 10 mm) prevents the creeping, warping and deterioration of the polyethylene, which are usual sources of wear and long term debris.

Secondary stability :

The surface treatment of the external wall, and the hydroxyapatite (HAP) coating, ensure a rapid and lasting osseo-integration without fibrous tissue interposition.
